The Local Loopback parameter can be set to “Permanent Off” or “DTE

Driven.” Selecting “Permanent Off” means no local loop requests will be

accepted via this line. Selecting “DTE Driven” means the line can accept

local loop requests.

Selecting “Enable” allows the unit to respond to in-band V.54 loop codes. If

you select “Disable,” the unit ignores these codes.

CTS

The Clear To Send parameter can be set to “Permanent On,” “Permanent

Off,” or “DTE Driven.” If this parameter is set to “Permanent On,” the CTS is

always “on” no matter what the state of RTS. If set to “Permanent Off,” CTS

is always “off” no matter what the state of RTS. If set to “DTE Driven,” CTS

follows RTS. In addition, when RTS and CTS are off, a pattern of all 1’s

(ones) is transmitted.

Data Set Ready can be set to “Permanent On,” or “Permanent Off.”

The Data Carrier Detect parameter can be set to “Permanent On,” “Permanent

RTS

The Request To Send parameter determines the source from which the unit

reads the RTS signal status. If set to “DTE Driven,” the unit gets RTS from

the DTE on the Serial interface. If set to “Permanent On,” RTS is always

perceived as “on.”

Default:

DTE Driven

RTS/CTS Delay

The Request To Send/Clear To Send parameter determines how long the unit

waits before it changes the level of CTS to match RTS when the CTS

parameter is set to “DTE Driven.”

Values:

0 (zero) ms, 1 (one) ms

Default:

0 ms
